Smoothly navigate changes in direction in your underground sewer system with the 110mm x 45° Eurofit UG Plain Bend. Designed specifically for Underground (UG) drainage networks, this heavy-duty beige PVC elbow shifts the flow of your main 110mm sewer pipe at a gradual 45-degree angle. This shallow sweep is highly effective at maintaining water velocity and preventing solid waste blockages deep underground. As a "Plain" (PL) fitting, it features a clean, solid profile without an access cap, making it ideal for permanent, fully buried piping runs.
Key Features:
Size: 110mm (Standard for main underground sewer lines).
Angle: 45 Degrees (Provides a smooth, high-velocity directional change).
Type: Underground (UG) Plain Bend (PL).
Material: Heavy-duty, crush-resistant Beige PVC.
Why use a 45-degree bend underground instead of a 90-degree bend? A 45-degree bend provides a much smoother transition for heavy wastewater and solid waste than a sharp 90-degree corner. Plumbers frequently use two 45-degree bends together to create a wide, sweeping 90-degree turn, which drastically reduces the chance of expensive blockages in buried pipes.
What does "PL" mean on this underground fitting? "PL" stands for Plain. It means the elbow is a solid piece of PVC without any removable screw-caps or access holes (rodding eyes). It is meant to be completely buried without the need for manual inspection access at that specific joint.
Why is this fitting beige instead of white? Beige or cream-colored PVC fittings are explicitly manufactured for Underground (UG) use. They are built with thicker, stronger walls to withstand the heavy compaction of soil and earth movements. White fittings are "SV" grade and meant for above-ground use only.
